Currently working on a social, emotional, health and well-being project which involves schools and multi-agencies working together to promote better outcomes for young people with regard to resilience and overall mental health. A tailored action plan was created to help support children and build resilience. The data suggests that the programme is having a positive impact on children’s self-esteem and resilience and children feel more equipped to embrace new challenges in positive ways.
She has worked together with other schools, both primary and secondary, as part of a research team to investigate ‘Assessment, Marking and Feedback.’ After collating evidence from a number of schools and evaluating the impact they had on pupil progress, key findings are recommendations were made based on the findings and marking policies were reviewed.
She has been involved in Early Years and Key Stage One moderation and worked with a number of schools to develop consistent approaches to monitoring and assessment.
As an Early Years Teacher EYFS provision had been a focus area and she has worked collaboratively with other schools to promote and enable stimulating, challenging and nurturing environments that increase pupil engagement and achievement.
